  • In order to study the axial compression property of a GFRP (glass fiber-reinforced polymer) tube-confined coal gangue steel fiber short concrete column, a test was carried out. The whole process of deformation and failure of the specimen under axial compression load was observed, and the whole process of the stress–strain curve of the specimen was obtained. The results show that the thickness of the GFRP tube has the most significant effect on the mechanical properties. The thickness of the 7 mm tube is 4.3 times the axial ultimate stress and 21.5 times the ultimate strain of the unconstr

Isolation Performance Analysis of Waste Tire Wall on Vibration Caused by Subway Trains

  • Steel-spring-floating slab tracks are widely used in subway lines. It is necessary to analyze and study the vibration damping and transmission characteristics of the steel-spring-floating slab track in various frequency bands under the action of train loads. A steel-spring-floating slab track and ordinary monolithic track tunnel sites with similar line conditions on straight and curved segments were selected. The vibration signals of rail, track bed, and tunnel walls were collected and the analysis results of vibration damping and vibration transmission between the steel-spring-floating sla

Study on the Influence of Bending Stiffness on Wind-induced Vibration of Cable Viscous Damper System

  • In practice, the internal rubber dampers are widely installed inside the cable guide pipe between the external viscous damper and the cable anchorage. In order to study the effect of the internal damper on the performance of the external viscous damper, the theoretical analysis model of a taut cable with an internal rubber damper and an external viscous damper is established in this paper, where the internal damper is assumed to be a high damping rubber damper with a flexible support and the external damper is considered to be a linear viscous damper. Then, the numerical iterative formula a

Experimental Study on Flexural Capacity of Cold-formed Steel Double-limb U Box Beams

  • Paper ID- JSJU-06-08-2023-10165

  • Cold-formed steel (CFS) is a typical green building material with the merits of being low-cost, lightweight, high-strength, and recyclable. CFS built-up section beams are widely used in CFS frames owing to their outstanding mechanical properties. However, a simplified and accurate method for calculating the flexural moment capacity of multi-limb built-up beams is missing in specifications. In this study, the flexural behaviors of CFS four-limb built-up beams with closed and open sections are investigated via experiments and finite element (FE) modeling. Firstly, the flexural moment capaciti

Mechanism of Nitrate Nitrogen Removal by Chitosan Modified Zeolite Molecular Sieve

  • Drinking water containing a high amount of ammonium-nitrogen (NH4+-N) is not effectively removed by conventional treatment processes and can cause eutrophication. In this research, a composite adsorbent based on chitosan crosslink with zeolite molecular sieve (CTS-ZMS) was prepared for NH4+-N removal through dynamic adsorption filter experiments. Effect of bed depth (30, 50 and 70 cm), flow rate (32, 49 and 65 mL/min), initial pH value (4.5, 6.5 and 8.5) and influent NH4+-N concentration (3, 5 and 7 mg/L) was examined by using a filter column packed with CTS-ZMS particles.
